Mission
cris&s – centre for research on intersectional spaces and societies is an independent research centre that studies the relationships between space, society, and people through an intersectional, sociological, and ethical approach. the centre develops research, analysis, and communication projects aimed at understanding how urban, domestic, institutional, work-related, and digital spaces shape people’s lives, bodies, relationships, and possibilities of recognition. cris&s investigates the forms of inequality, vulnerability, exclusion, and belonging produced by the environments we inhabit. it aims to build critical knowledge, narrative tools, and design-oriented perspectives capable of placing situated experiences and people often made invisible by traditional models of space, city, and society at the centre.

what’s the difference between publications and cris&s projects?
publications are authored texts by the founder of cris&s, developed over the years as the conceptual foundation of the centre’s research trajectory. they include articles, essays, reports, working papers, and other formal outputs that have contributed to building the theoretical structure from which cris&s emerges.
cris&s projects include both applied research projects and theoretical frameworks developed within the centre. some of these frameworks have been published or publicly presented as autonomous research outputs, even when they have not yet been translated into concrete projects, partnerships, or field-based applications. in this sense, projects at cris&s are understood not only as operational activities, but also as conceptual infrastructures that can generate future research, collaborations, and practical interventions.

yes, when the data are publicly available, they can be used with proper citation of the source.
